I was born August 25, 1980 in Weisbaden, Germany. I am technically an American citizen since I was born to American parents on an Air Force base. After moving back to the states, I was home-schooled until the 8th grade, which I finished high school in public school. I was in advance placement in high school, where I was exposed to many different mediums. From watercolor and colored pencil, to sculpture and charcoal, I had lots of practice in each. Probably my proudest moment came when I won a $1000 scholarship for my colored pencil drawing of a toucan which is currently in the gallery. In my one semester of college where I attended TCJC which is now Tarrant County College, I took a painting class. At first, I didnt know much about the medium. My main strength was drawing. I wanted to draw with a paintbrush instead of pencil. My professor saw this, and taught me to loosen up my technique by blindfolding me and handed me a brush. I can't thank him enough for helping me to branch out in my abilities. Again, feel free to look around. I would like to hear back from you. If any of you would like more information about myself, or purchasing my art, please feel free to contact me. My email address is danielkingart@yahoo.com Thank you.
